Healthzilla wins a Design Thinking Competition
In late 2018 Healthzilla’s creative minds put together their most innovative ideas to champion a Design Thinking Competition arranged by one of the world’s leading design agencies, Design Group Italia. The winner of the competition would get to work for a week with different teams of Design Group Italia at their headquarters in Milan, Italy. After two intense days of UX design, user persona definitions, mind maps, and much more all the creative work paid off and Healthzilla was crowned as the winner of the competition.
In early March 2019 Healthzilla’s CEO Laura Ranin and CFO Niko Ratala landed in sunny Milan ready to work from dusk till dawn with world-class DGI experts. Prior to the workshop both teams had been exchanging emails for weeks to prepare for the actual focus group work, interviews, and expert sessions taking place in Milan. “The workshops opened our eyes to the importance of seamless UX design and continuous feedback loop to keep the product interesting, fresh, and easy to use,” says Laura. “DGI’s expertise is golden for an early stage startup like ours,” continues Niko. “Even the greatest product with the most amazing tech behind it can fail in case the design isn’t on point,” he concludes.
The week spurred a lot of ideas, and provided tons of practical tools for the Healthzilla team, who is currently working on their version 3 of the product. “We can’t wait to get home and share all the knowledge, visuals, ideas, and much more with the rest of the team,” beams Laura.
