Healthzilla Scores 2nd in an International COVID-19 Hackathon

The first weekend of April saw almost 200 people from seven different time zones working hard on solving problems caused by COVID-19 in a 48-hour “What the Quack” hackathon. Healthzilla’s solution “COVID-19 Early Detection with HRV” was crowned one of the winners mid-day on Sunday, April 5th, 2020!

With its mission to democratize health and help the individual apply data to get healthy and stay healthy, the Zilla team feels a strong need to do their bit in the fight against COVID-19. “Out of the four challenges presented to the participants, ‘save lives’ felt like our cup of tea,” says Laura, CEO of Healthzilla. “Our team worked tirelessly over the weekend both in Asia and in Europe to hack together a solution utilizing real-time biometric data in early detection of infections and viruses such as the current SARS‐CoV-2,” she continues. The entire team is honored and thrilled for the recognition by the esteemed jury and mentors and is actively looking for relevant partners to support their research to tackle the global pandemic.
