Blog tips
#1: Cold Showers
“I’ve started to hate showering.” Despite being one of the simplest biohacking gigs that virtually anyone can incorporate into their daily routine, exposing yourself to cold water can be intimidating, unpleasant, and delightful at the same time.
If you’ve ever heard of this hack and are wondering whether it’s something for you – Riku's blog is the perfect read for you!
#2: Skin Care in the Era of Mandatory Masks
If you’re new to wearing a mask and worry about skin irritation, rashes, and breakouts, make sure to read John’s blog where he shares his top skincare tips for the era of masks. Although Healthzilla habits focus on measurable habits around health and wellbeing, the current situation with new accessories forces us to incorporate also new (skincare) habits into our daily life.
Podcast tips
On the podcast front, we have two excellent episodes for all the meditation newbies: episodes #21 and #22 where Niko and Aki take a deep dive into the world of meditation and debug some of the myths around it. No "woo woo" or out of this world experiences ahead: these episodes are full of scientific facts and practical tips on how to get started.
#3: Meditation 101
Episode #21 lays out practical steps on how to build a sustainable meditation habit in a world that is always "on" and forces us to be busy. It also drills into the scientific research about the (undeniable) benefits of meditation and essentially debugs all the “woo woo” around it.
Our guest Aki is a skeptic with an engineer’s brain who has successfully built a sustainable meditation habit along with an entire meditation room at his office. If you’re curious about meditation, or have tried it but didn’t stick to the habit, this episode will tickle your fancy for sure!
#4: Less Nirvana More Resilience
Episode #22 focuses more on tangible impacts that a meditation habit will have on your resilience and how it shows in your everyday life. Meditation is NOT about emptying your mind and achieving nirvana but about accepting and being okay with pain and discomfort (both physical and mental).
When you learn to be present and accept some of the discomforts of sitting down on a hard surface for your 10-minute meditation session, you’ll slowly be able to apply the same acceptance in your everyday life. Ultimately, it will have a huge impact on your life quality when you’re not driven by your instant feelings and emotions 24/7.
If that didn’t satisfy your hunger, you can always find more articles and podcasts in the Zilla blog and podcast. We keep adding new content every week. Should you have any additional ideas related to the blog posts, podcast, or app content, we’re always super happy to hear from you!
Lastly, If you enjoy using the app, please take a minute to give us some love in the App Store – your ratings and reviews help us immensely!
Wishing you an awesome rest of the week!
